Family friendly fun and a little competition!
The Rotary club of Kokosing valley is hosting our first annual Ugly Sweater 5k race/walk!
This event is to promote overall community health, High school scholarships, peace and conflict resolution assemblies, and environmental impacts in Knox County.
Health fair will be provided through local health and wellness organizations during the event. They will have lots of helpful information and goodies to give away.
There will be prizes and/or medals for those who place and hot chocolate and cookies for all who attend!
Special award recognition: 3 generation teams
Cash prizes and photos: School with the most entries, Cross country team with the most entries, Non-profit with the most entries, business with the most entries, and Government entity with the most entries.
The race will take place in scenic Mount Vernon through beautiful parks and the Kokosing trail. Start/Finish at the Chamber of commerce parking lot, 501 S Main St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050 Bathrooms available on site.
Packet pickup will be on race day morning starting 1 hour before the race at 11:00am.
Professional timers, race bibs, real time race results online/app, finish line pictures and finisher certificates via itsyourrace.com, festive start and finish music.
All ages, strollers and dogs (leashed) are welcome! Wear your Ugly Sweater (not required) for fun photos!
